Inspired by the red light district in Amsterdam, Matuschka began this series in the early 80s using herself as ‘the model’ while recreating the whimsical surrealistic aspect of the ‘red lit windows’ she had witnessed while living abroad.’

These works on paper incorporate a variety of media including chalk, charcoal, pen and ink, magic marker, water color and wrapping paper.

Whores Galore was almost all sold out. Recently the artist re- acquired some of the stable. If original is unavailable an archival 32 x 26 print may be purchased.
